The world seems to be rejoicing as the man some see
as a sort of messiah will become the 44th US President.
Unfortunately, he will largely be following a script
handed to him by the real powers-that-be, just like
Bush and just like McCain, had he won. The fact is that
the real money men are in charge in the USA as everywhere
else on planet earth, like it or not.
I am not in the slightest bit anti-American - I love
them. They deserve better than they are offered by the
mass media whores, i.e. a petty left/right tussle that
only offers the illusion of 'democracy', but will ensure
further dismantling of the Constitution and Bill of
Rights.
Obama promised in his victory speech that "change
has come to America," but I'm pretty sure it will
be a case of The
More Things "Change" The More They Stay The Same.
Could Obama/Biden really be even more dangerous than
Bush/Cheney?
George W. had 9/11 in his first year as President and
Obama will have a major international crisis before
next summer.
It's not me saying that, but Vice President-elect,
Joe Biden, who has guaranteed
that a major event will be generated.
As for the UK Government, this is the opinion
of David Miliband, the Foreign Secretary, on Obama's
success:
When he spoke in Berlin on July 24, Senator Obama
pledged to work with Europe in a spirit of "constant
cooperation, strong institutions and shared sacrifice."
That is precisely what we want to do.
Miliband then waffles on about financial stability
and peace in the Middle East. He has a fine sense of
irony. To be cool, he also mentions the threat of climate
change and I'm sure that from his Party's point of view,
the more they can threaten us with the better.
